sliding door system alutec

alutec – the sliding door system for residential and commercial applications

Slim and compact, and combined with timber or all-glass doors – the purist, clear expression of form of the alutec aluminium fitting enhances any up-market residential or commercial environment.

The technology is concealed in the profile, and embedded in roller chains, allowing a very smooth-running and virtually silent operation. In addition, an integrated vibration damper effectively prevents any swinging movement of the door.

The runners are capable of bearing heavy doors up to 100 kg in weight and are designed for a 60mm doorframe.

alutec is adaptable – it can be used on both timber and all-glass doors. The fittings can be supplied as a single or double-leaf system, depending on the space available and individual taste. For extra convenient operation, a synchronized fitting is also available (one leaf is opened, while the second leaf automatically opens in the opposite direction).

The enclosed structure makes any additional facing unnecessary, and the exact fit means that no adjustment in height or at the sides is required.

Its simple and affordable assembly makes alutec the natural choice for the price-conscious customer. It is the perfect complement to the existing HUGA sliding door systems.

Techno, a visible achievement

Inspired by rural farmhouses – space-saving system

Unlike other sliding door fittings which are hidden behind ornamental panels, techno sits confidently and in full view on the wall. Sliding doors in old rural farm cottages around HUGA’s head office proved to be the inspiration for this design-oriented system. The HUGA designers have taken this space-saving approach and adapted it to produce a stylish and up-to-date system in matt finished stainless steel with runners, roller and adjustable eccentric to prevent “jumping out”.

Techno can be fitted on many HUGA doors of derived timber products, wood/glass combinations such as the riva and sueno designer doors or with ESG glass doors. Derived timber doors are flush mounted, resulting in a perfectly harmonious unit of door and fitting.

techno logg

techno-logg by HUGA

The ingenious combination of door handle and latch

The perfect finishing touch for all doors in the techno series. techno-logg – the handle which is a latch at the same time. With techno-logg all sliding doors in front of the wall will not only latch reliably, but also look good. All-glass or combination glass doors will flawlessly complement any environment, adding a stylish element to residential areas and even the most discriminating commercial area. techno-logg combines the space-saving advantages of sliding doors with the transparent brightness of glass.

Push closed – pull open

with techno-logg doors are as light as a feather

Light pressure on the top of the metal pull bar will firmly close the door, securely anchoring it in the floor recess. A short pull on the pull bar wheel, and techno-logg jumps open again.

The ingenious mechanism draws on the strength of a robust metal spring. This presses an internal bar onto the retractable central rib of the floor plate, which engages the latch. Pulling on the pull bar wheel releases the spring tension and the latch – so the door can be opened easily. Like the techno sliding door, the functional workings of the techno-logg are clearly visible. Together they speak a simple language of form and add a striking functional feature to glass doors.

Transparency now for heavy traffic areas too

techno-logg is so easy to handle that no explanations are necessary. A further plus is that the door glass remains untouched, ensuring hygienic cleanliness and an immaculate appearance, even when the door is in constant use.

These functional advantages are precisely what make techno-logg a trend-setter for the up-market commercial environment. techno-logg creates exciting new options for the transparency of glass doors and combination glass doors. The distinctive design of the techno sliding door together with techno-logg can also be utilised in highly-frequented areas. Its quality materials make it suitable for laboratories and other areas where hygiene is important. A whole new world of possibilities for optimising space and light has just opened up.

New at the trade fair!

Innovative alliance - techno fittings on sueno / riva designer door

A striking combination of glass, steel and timber – technical ingenuity at its best

Always seeking new ideas and designs for their exclusive and distinctive doors, HUGA has now pulled off a masterstroke of technical ingenuity by combining techno sliding door fittings with their sueno designer door. The aim was to use all the HUGA standard types of glass in as large sheets as possible, at the same time retaining the 100% dependable static and mechanical qualities of the sliding door fittings.

In order to integrate the transparent lightness of the sueno doors with the cool elegance of the techno door fittings, vertical friezes are fitted next to the glass, which act as struts to ensure that the glass is hung securely. The edges are not only important for static equilibrium, they also harmonise aesthetically and functionally with fitting, flush cup pull and track.

Discriminating detail – the floor track beneath the glass

HUGA utilizes an H-profile of anodised aluminium for the floor track beneath the 8mm thick glass. This profile ensures smooth, quiet operation when opening and closing the door. But that’s not all. The stylistic metal-protected edge on this model complements the other sueno designer doors, and its surface finish also enhances the metal features of the handles and fittings.

New options for that contemporary living feeling

With this combination HUGA is once again displaying its ability to implement innovative ideas which are both technically discriminating and yet completely reliable in daily use. Inspired by the old farmhouses around HUGA’s head office, the techno fittings, incorporated with the sueno designer door, demonstrate their versatility, lightness and space-saving attributes.

Variable space utilisation for doorways - HUGA twinto sliding door

It is often quite difficult to logically integrate existing doorways when rebuilding or making alterations. HUGA has now developed a new, versatile sliding door, which is simply installed complete with the frame as a pre-hung unit.

Double doors incorporating one fixed door and one working door always have a distinctive appearance. It doesn’t matter whether twinto opens to the right or left, whether it is positioned on the visible side or in the middle of the frame. The twinto system allows optimal usage of every doorway.

Quite apart from this, twinto also saves the space which conventional double doors take up, and can therefore help to manage available space. Runners and construction joints are concealed by brushes and seals.

twinto - Ceiling-height doorways

Twinto is the flexible link between rooms. And from now on in ceiling-height too.

Twinto makes it possible for architects and planners to meaningfully integrate existing passageways, without wasting an unnecessary amount of space.

The new ceiling-height version brings even more light and air into the apartment or workplace.

The trick – 2 matching elements

Make the best of passageways – plenty of combination options

The identical combination of one inactive and one active door looks good, makes the best use of space and adapts to any space situation. The width, and now also the height, of the passageway are irrelevant. Twinto is appropriate as a space-saving doorway for virtually any room, because its appearance is just as flexible as its size.

The construction of the passageway type of sliding door saves the space which other doors need and is therefore particularly helpful for small rooms. Twinto in ceiling-height simply transforms the existing parts into an aesthetically-pleasing yet functional whole.

Transparency as the modern feeling for work and leisure

More space, more light, more individuality – make use of all the space available - right up to the ceiling

The ceiling-height version of twinto allows contemporary room separation, independent of structural conditions.

As with the regular version, ceiling-height twinto can also be mounted on the latch side, the rebate side or in the middle of the jamb. The positions of the inactive and the active door are also flexible.

Ceiling-height twinto creates a feeling of space, particularly when glazing is used. In this way twinto can separate rooms and yet at the same time connect them visually. The degree of separation desired when the door is closed can be individually adjusted with clear or patterned glazing and timber.
