Apartment door BT 01

This very special door was developed particularly for wheelchair users to simplify the opening and closing of doors. According to DIN Standard 18024-2 handle and look are placed at 85 mm height. This requires the application of especially aligned HUGA wood wrap-around frames, steel frames or internally fitted door frames made of timber.

It is difficult for wheelchair users to reach the door handle to close the door when they are inside the room. To make life easier for people in sitting position, a horizontal handrail is fixed at the height of 850 mm. Glass cut-outs are highly reasonable in this door, because wheelchair users can't avoid suddenly opening doors as quickly as a healthy person can. Through the glass cut-outs it is immediately possible for wheelchair users to notice persons coming towards them. From the size of 2110mm x 985mm onwards this door corresponds exactly with all standards of barrier-freedom. As the apartment door BT 01 is always delivered with an adapted frame, this type of door is mainly meant for new buildings.

Apartment door BT 02

This door is intended for existing frames where only door leaves have to be replaced. Because of its special fitting the door reaches the barrier-free fitting height of 850 mm without adjusting the trap hole, the lock hole or the lock plate. The door fits in any steel frame or timber frame manfactured according to DIN standards, independent of the producer. An expert has to check this beforehand.

With most wheel chairs not being broarder than 77 cm an existing door leaf with the size of 860 mm x 1985 mm is sufficient for the exchange. It is always possible to built in a "normal" door again.

Apartment entrance door BWET 01

Standard apartment entrance doors are regularly equipped with a spy attached to the door at the height of 1400 mm according to DIN standards. This is unreachable for wheelchair users.

But even if the spy is put in a lower position, it is difficult for a wheelchair user to drive sideways to be able to look through the spy. As a solution, our HUGA BWET 01 replaces the spy by a combination of two techniques. A camera with a wide angle lens is fixed on to the door leaf inside the appartment. From outside you only see a LC display. With the help of the camera yo8u can see from a distance whose is standing in front of the door. The electric power supply is done without cable ducts in our patented way using the door hinges.

Comparably to the apartment doors BT 01 and BT 02 the door handle sets and locks in the door leaf together with the closing plate in the frame are built in a height of 850 mm ex works.

If the customer wants the door to open and close automatically, it can be equipped with a pivot drive.

Using the pivot drive, it is necessary to fix a special lock plate with a release buzzer onto the frame. For this reason, the element always consists of door leaf and frame.
